Not the Same as a Lip Tattoo — Korean-Style Gradient Lip Blush

Why we don't fill the whole lip with solid color

A lot of lip semi-permanent makeup abroad uses one solid, deep color across the entire lip. That's often why people say the result looks "pretty, but a bit artificial."

Korean-style Lip Blush works differently. Color is placed softly at the center of the lips and fades naturally toward the edges, so the inner lip looks fuller while the outer edge blends into your natural lip color. The result is a "lip tattoo that doesn't look like a lip tattoo."

It's normal for the color to look darker right after the procedure

Photos taken on the day of treatment can look more vivid and intense than expected — that's simply because the lips haven't healed yet. Over the next few days to about 1-2 weeks, the surface naturally flakes off and the color settles into a softer, more muted tone. So there's no need to judge the result as "too dark" from day-of photos alone. The true, settled color only shows once healing is complete.

Matched to your own lip color and skin tone

Even with the exact same pigment, the result looks different from person to person because everyone's natural lip base color is different. At Double D Art, we check your natural lip color and skin tone before the procedure, then decide together on the color and intensity that blends most naturally with you.

Especially recommended if you 💕

Have lips that look dull or uneven between the left and right sides

Feel like a bold, obviously artificial lip tattoo is too much

Find applying lipstick every day a hassle
