Can you get Shurink Universe
even if you have little cheek volume?
There are times when your cheeks are not very full,
but sagging around the mouth and jawline is concerning.
Even while considering lifting,
you may worry that your cheeks will look more sunken.
Having less cheek volume alone
does not make Shurink lifting impossible.
However, the first step is distinguishing between areas with lack of volume
and areas with sagging.
Looking separately at the volume you want to keep
and the sagging you want to improve
helps determine the treatment direction.
What kind of treatment is Shurink?
Shurink Universe uses
high-intensity focused ultrasound, or HIFU.
It works by concentrating ultrasound energy at the target depth
to deliver thermal stimulation to the tissue.
Through the tissue response that follows and collagen remodeling,
it helps improve firmness.
Moving the device upward
does not physically lift the tissue.
What matters is which area
and at what depth the energy is delivered.
Lifting and volume supplementation are different
Shurink Universe is not a treatment that fills in sunken cheeks
with new volume.
Improving skin elasticity and
supplementing 부족한 volume are
different goals.
Even if the skin appears tighter,
that does not mean cheek hollowness will also be resolved.
If hollowness is the main concern rather than sagging,
it is worth first considering whether a lifting-only plan is appropriate.
Distinguish cheek hollowness from jawline sagging
The area below the cheekbones may look hollow,
while the area around the mouth and jawline may feel heavy.
This means that lack of volume and skin sagging
can appear together in one face.
In that case, simply saying “I want a smaller face”
makes it hard to describe the change you want.
Think about whether you want to keep cheek volume
while improving jawline sagging,
or whether hollowness itself is the bigger concern.
Treatment is not decided solely by whether the cheeks look full or thin.
A review of the thickness of the skin and subcutaneous tissue,
and the location of sagging by area,
is necessary.
Modes are selected according to the condition of the face
Shurink Universe is structured to choose the handpiece, cartridge,
and energy delivery mode according to the area and purpose.
The normal mode delivers energy in dot form,
and the MP mode is designed to form
a wider heating pattern.
But the fact that there are various modes alone
does not mean the same method suits every area,
or that there is no possibility of volume changes.
More important than which mode is better
is whether it matches the condition of your facial tissue
and the purpose of the treatment.
Would lowering the intensity be enough?
If you have little cheek volume, it is easy to think
that only lowering the intensity will be enough.
However, simply lowering the intensity
does not complete an appropriate treatment plan.
The treatment area, target depth, mode, and number of shots
must all be considered together.
The extent to which energy is repeatedly delivered
to the same area should also be reviewed.
Even in the same face,
the thickness and structure of tissue differ by area.
Therefore, applying the same depth and intensity uniformly
to all areas should be approached with caution.
Please tell us which volume you want to preserve
The depth indicated on the cartridge
does not always refer to the same tissue layer
for everyone.
You need to determine which tissue that depth corresponds to
in your actual face.
If you are worried about cheek hollowness,
please let us know first during the consultation
which areas you want to preserve volume in.
Rather than treating the entire face without exception,
it is important to distinguish between the areas that need treatment
and the areas that require caution.
The results should be assessed by looking at the cheeks and jawline together
After treatment, it is better not to evaluate only
whether the face looks smaller.
You should check together the jawline sagging
you were initially concerned about
and the contour of the cheeks.
However, you cannot conclude that volume has decreased
based on shadows in photos alone.
Use photos taken with consistent lighting, angle, and expression,
and also consider weight changes and swelling.
The tightness felt immediately after treatment or temporary swelling,
as well as tissue changes that appear over time,
should also be reviewed separately.
Before treatment, decide when to check the progress,
and if there are any changes you are worried about,
have the medical staff check the condition before repeat treatment.
If it hurts less, is the effect weaker?
You cannot judge the effect by the degree of pain alone.
Feelings vary depending on the treatment area,
the energy delivery method, and individual sensitivity.
You do not need to endure pain at all costs
for the sake of results.
If you suddenly feel severe pain or discomfort,
you should tell the medical staff immediately.
Can I get it for preventive purposes starting in my 20s?
Age alone is not used to determine the need for treatment.
The first step is to check whether there is actual sagging
or reduced elasticity that needs improvement.
Rather than expecting that repeated treatment from a young age
will prevent aging,
consider whether treatment is needed for your current condition.
What if I have had other treatments before?
If you have a history of fillers, thread lifting, skin boosters,
or energy-device treatments,
please let us know the type, area, and timing.
Whether they can be considered together
and whether they can be done on the same day are separate decisions.
The order and interval of treatments should be decided with the medical staff,
considering your previous treatments and current condition.
Can I get it right before an important appointment?
After treatment, redness or swelling,
tenderness, and bruising may occur.
Therefore, it is difficult to say that no recovery time is needed at all.
Rather than scheduling based on the expectation that the best results will appear immediately after treatment,
please share the event date and discuss recovery time in advance.
The first priority is a goal suited to your face
During the consultation, along with saying that you are worried about cheek hollowness,
please point out specifically which areas look sunken or sagging.
Recent weight changes, previous treatments,
and any uncomfortable experiences you have had before are also important information.
Skin conditions, medications you are taking,
and whether you have implants should also be shared in advance.
Whether Shurink Universe is suitable
is not determined by the amount of cheek volume alone.
You need to distinguish between the volume you want to preserve
and the sagging you want to improve,
and set a goal that matches your current facial condition.
There are individual differences in treatment effects and recovery.
Please make your decision only after充分 consulting with the medical staff,
including unwanted changes such as cheek hollowness
and the possibility of side effects.
