If you have put Onda lifting into your Seoul travel budget, the price list may stop you for a moment. The range runs from KRW 55,000 to KRW 890,000 under the same treatment name. The first thing to look at is the J printed next to the price, which is the energy amount. The treated areas and the package contents differ too, so these amounts are hard to read as a price range for one identical service.

Converting to dollars or pounds can wait. First check whether the area you care about is included. Just as a restaurant menu separates a small plate from a full course, Onda becomes easier to compare once you read what sits next to the name.

Prices in this article are as listed on 9 September 2026. Confirm the package and the final amount that apply on your booking date with the store.

What Onda is, and what J means

ONDA is the name of a device made by DEKA. Clinics call a treatment using this device "Onda lifting." It works with 2.45GHz microwaves, so it is worth reading separately from general radiofrequency lifting or ultrasound devices.

J stands for joule, a unit of energy. 1kJ is 1,000J, so 30KJ is 30,000J, and 80,000J is the same as 80kJ. There is no need to be thrown by a number that only changes its notation. If a listing says only "Onda, 1 session," ask once more how many joules that session includes.

Energy Unit Conversion

  • 1kJ=1,000J
  • 30kJ=30,000J
  • 80kJ=80,000J
Different notation, same amount of energy.

A higher J figure does not mean a better fit for you. Even at the same energy amount, the area, the surface size, the handpiece in use, and the treatment plan can all differ. Describe the change you want, agree the scope with the medical team, and then ask for a quote on those conditions.

Comparing products that state their J figure

Start with the three products where the J figure is visible. Tap a store name to open its K-Beauty Station product page. After reading each one, check whether the area you want is included.

1. Kind Global Clinic Myeongdong, Onda 30KJ

J as stated30KJ = 30,000J

Areas and contents to confirmWhich parts of the face are included, and the amount used per session

2. Dr Evers Clinic Gangnam, Onda 80,000J

J as stated80,000J = 80kJ
Listed priceKRW 380,000
Areas and contents to confirmWhich areas it applies to, and whether both sides are included

3. GU Clinic Gangnam, Onda

J as statedNot in the product name. 80kJ in the detail page
Listed priceKRW 890,000
Areas and contents to confirmWhether you are booking face or body, and the coverage

As with the GU Clinic listing, the J figure is sometimes absent from the title and written as 80kJ in the details. If you cannot find it in the title, open the full description. That page also carries a VAT-included note.

Put on the same scale, the three work out to KRW 43,000, KRW 47,500 and KRW 111,250 per 10,000J. That is only the energy amount divided out. It does not mean the areas or the services are the same, and it does not mean you can add joules at that rate. Use it for comparison only.

When there is no J figure, or when it is a body product

1. HYUNDAIMIHAK Plastic Surgery, Onda

J as statedNot in the product name
Listed priceKRW 55,000
Areas and contents to confirmFace and body use is mentioned, but confirm the J figure and areas for this price separately

2. Woori Plastic Surgery Gangnam, Onda Body

J as statedNot in the product name
Listed priceKRW 264,000
Areas and contents to confirmBody product. Confirm the selected area and surface size, such as arms, abdomen or thighs

If the KRW 55,000 listing caught your eye, start with "How many joules does this price include, and which areas does it cover?" The listing alone cannot tell you whether it is one full-face session. For body products, pinning down whether "arms" means both arms and how far "abdomen" extends makes the in-person consultation much smoother.

Confirming the final amount for your travel budget

Just as you check whether baggage is included when choosing a flight, it helps to read what a beauty booking includes. Once you know what gets added to the first price you see, planning the trip budget gets easier.

What to checkWhat to confirm in the quote
VATWhether it is already included in the displayed amount
Consultation and assessmentThe cost if you consult and decide not to proceed
Energy and areaTotal joules, the surface treated, whether both sides are included
Anesthesia and sedationWhether they are used, and whether they are in the price if needed
AftercareWhether soothing care, prescriptions and home-care products are included
Language supportWhether English is available for booking and for the medical consultation, and whether interpretation costs extra
Discount conditionsConditions such as first visit, specific hours, or specific payment methods

If several promotional images are on display, ask which amount applies to the product you chose. It is worth asking at the same time whether a deposit is deducted from the final amount. Keep foreign card exchange and payment fees in a separate line from the clinic's treatment fee.

Questions worth saving before you book

  • "How many joules in total does this price cover, and which areas does it include?"
  • "My concern is my jawline. Could you tell me the scope you would recommend and the expected total?"
  • "Please write down the total I will pay, including VAT and any aftercare costs."
  • "Please only proceed with additional treatments after explaining the price and getting my agreement."
  • "Can I have the doctor's consultation in English? Is there a cost if it goes through an interpreter?"
  • "My photo day and departure date are fixed. Could you suggest a booking date that leaves time to check how recovery is going?"

Frequently asked questions

Should I book 30kJ or 80,000J?

Rather than picking a number first, describe the area and the change you want. Take the energy amount and coverage the medical team proposes, then compare quotes on the same conditions.

Does a higher price mean a bigger result?

Price alone cannot tell you. Compare the contents, the treatment scope, the medical team's plan, and the aftercare. No price list guarantees the same change or the same recovery time for everyone.

Can I say no if it comes out more expensive than expected after the consultation?

Have the new plan and cost explained, then decide whether to go ahead. It is better to confirm the consultation-only cost and the deposit rules before you book.

Is it cheaper to have face and body together?

Whether packages exist varies by store. Ask for a quote that separates joules and price for face and body, so you can see what is actually discounted.
