Use your main concern to choose what to compare first:
- Dryness and tight-feeling skin: start with a hyaluronic acid (HA)-led skin booster.
- Overall texture, fine lines and elasticity: start with a polynucleotide (PN) option such as Rejuran.
- Visible pores, rough texture and early fine lines: start with a poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) and HA option such as Juvelook Skin.
- Dryness plus concern about injection pain: compare Rejuran HB Plus first because it adds HA and lidocaine to PN.
Deep acne scars or clear volume loss: do not rely on a general skin booster. Ask for a consultation about scar treatment or volume correction.
Start with HA for dryness, PN for fine lines and overall skin quality, or PDLLA+HA for visible pores and rough texture. Then compare current KBS prices, recovery planning and the questions to ask before booking.
What does “skin booster” mean in Korea?
Skin booster is an umbrella term, not one standardized treatment. In Korea, the label may cover hyaluronic acid (HA) injections for hydration, polynucleotide (PN) products such as Rejuran, collagen-stimulating poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) and HA products such as Juvelook, or packages combining an injectable with a device or another procedure.
That is why the name alone is not enough. Ask for these four details before comparing two listings:
- Full product name and formulation — not just “water glow,” “Rejuran” or “Juvelook.”
- Treatment method — manual injection, multi-needle injector, device-assisted delivery or a combination package.
- Amount and visits — cc or mL per visit, whether a vial is shared or allocated, and the number of sessions.
What the price includes — numbing, an additional procedure, aftercare, VAT and any return visit.
If any of these details differ, do not compare the prices as if the listings covered the same treatment.
Which skin booster should you compare for your concern?
Your skin feels dry, tight or looks dull
| Compare this first | A hyaluronic acid (HA) skin booster |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | Intradermal HA has direct clinical evidence for hydration and smoothness. When moisture is the goal, it is the most focused choice. |
| When to look elsewhere | If texture, pores or gradual collagen change matter more to you than moisture, compare PN or PDLLA+HA instead. |
You see fine lines, rough texture and less elasticity
| Compare this first | A polynucleotide (PN) booster such as Rejuran Healer |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | In a randomized study that treated each side of the face differently, both PN and HA helped around the eyes, but PN showed stronger improvement in roughness, pore volume, elasticity and hydration over time. |
| When to look elsewhere | If dryness is your only real concern, an HA booster is more direct and often costs less. |
Visible pores and uneven texture bother you most
| Compare this first | A poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) + HA booster such as Juvelook Skin |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | PDLLA is used to stimulate collagen while HA supports hydration. A preliminary Juvelook study reported improvement in fine wrinkles and skin texture after a full course. |
| When to look elsewhere | If you need immediate volume or have deep scars. A skin-quality plan is not a volume or scar-correction plan. |
You want PN, but dryness and injection pain also worry you
| Compare this first | Rejuran HB Plus |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | It combines PN with HA and lidocaine, so it gives you a concrete reason to choose it over original Rejuran when moisture and comfort both matter. |
| When to look elsewhere | If you are allergic to lidocaine, or if pores and rough texture are your main goal. Lidocaine also does not make recovery faster. |
You have deep acne scars or lost facial volume
| Compare this first | A consultation about scar or volume treatment |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | A skin booster may improve surface quality, but it cannot be assumed to lift a deep scar or replace lost volume. |
| When to look elsewhere | If a doctor finds the concern is mainly surface texture, a skin booster may become part of the plan. |
You have an important event within a few days
| Compare this first | Book the treatment after the event |
|---|---|
| Why this comes first | Multiple injections can leave bumps, redness, swelling or bruising. No injectable can guarantee that you will be photo-ready on a fixed date. |
| When to look elsewhere | If you have enough recovery time and accept the chance of visible injection marks. |
Hyaluronic acid, polynucleotide or PDLLA+HA: what is the practical difference?
Choose hyaluronic acid (HA) first for hydration
If your skin feels dry or tight and you mainly want better hydration and smoothness, HA is the most direct category to compare. A randomized study of intradermal HA reported improvements in hydration, smoothness and fine lines. This does not mean every “water glow” injection uses the same HA product or produces the same result.
Check the exact product, whether it is cross-linked or non-cross-linked, the treatment area and the amount. Do not compare a generic 2.5cc water-glow option with 1cc of a named injectable as if cc alone described the treatment.
Choose polynucleotide (PN) first for overall skin quality and fine lines
If several concerns overlap—fine lines, roughness, reduced elasticity and uneven skin quality—PN is the stronger first comparison. A randomized PN-versus-HA study found no significant difference in the overall aesthetic scores, but PN showed higher improvement rates for roughness, pore volume, elasticity and hydration over time.
That is a reason to put PN first for a broad skin-quality goal, not proof that PN beats HA for everyone. The study focused on the area around the eyes and involved 27 participants. It does not set a universal full-face dose or schedule.
If injection pain and dryness are both priorities, compare Rejuran HB Plus before original Rejuran. HB Plus contains PN, HA and lidocaine. The manufacturer reported less injection pain than with original Rejuran, but lidocaine does not make the procedure painless and does not shorten swelling or bruising. Our Rejuran HB product and downtime guide explains what to check when a listing uses the shorter name “HB.”
Choose PDLLA+HA first for pores and gradual texture change
If enlarged pores, rough texture and early fine lines bother you more than dryness alone, Juvelook Skin is the clearer first product to compare. Its PDLLA component is intended to support gradual collagen formation, while HA contributes hydration.
A published preliminary study of PDLLA+HA reported improvements in fine wrinkles and texture after two or three sessions, four weeks apart. The study supports the direction of the choice, but its 16-person design does not make that exact schedule suitable for everyone.
Do not confuse Juvelook Skin with Juvelook Volume or assume they are interchangeable by price per cc. Our Juvelook types and downtime guide explains the product names, while the Juvelook price guide shows how to compare cc, vials and packages.
How much do these options cost on K-Beauty Station?
Here are current examples from KBS partner clinics (checked September 28, 2026; they do not represent every price available in Korea).
| Listed option | Amount | Listed price | VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hyaluronic acid (HA) water-glow injection | 2.5cc | ₩88,000 | Included |
| Juvelook Skin | 1cc | ₩99,000 | Included |
| Juvelook Skin — another partner clinic | 1cc | ₩110,000 | Included |
| Rejuran Healer | 2cc | ₩275,000 | Included |
| Rejuran Healer — another partner clinic | 2cc | ₩385,000 | Included |
The direct budget conclusions are:
- If hydration is your only main goal and your treatment budget is around ₩100,000 or less, the listed HA water-glow option is the clearest starting point in this snapshot.
- The two listed Juvelook 1cc prices differ by ₩11,000. Match the method and inclusions before deciding that the lower price is the better deal.
- The two listed Rejuran Healer 2cc prices differ by ₩110,000. For the same product, amount, method and included services, the lower final total is the better price. If any of those conditions differ, ask for an itemized explanation.
Do not choose the ₩88,000 HA option as a cheaper substitute if PN or PDLLA is the reason you want treatment. The products and intended plans are different.
Before paying, request one total that includes the exact product, amount, treatment method, numbing, additional procedures, aftercare and VAT. A package price is only useful if you want every included treatment and can use every visit.
Compare the treatment method and number of sessions
Even with the same product, the treatment method can change the discomfort, visible marks and appointment time. Manual microinjections, multi-needle injectors and device-assisted procedures may also place and distribute the product differently. A Potenza combination includes radiofrequency microneedling as well, so do not compare it with a standalone injection by cc alone.
Ask the clinic to write down:
- The full product name.
- The amount used in one visit and what the cc figure measures.
- The treatment method and treatment area.
- Whether the quote is for one visit or a course.
The recommended spacing and what one session is expected to accomplish.
If you can visit only once, do not buy a multi-session package just because its cost per session is lower. Published HA, PN and PDLLA studies often use a course of treatments, so one visit may not reproduce the study protocol. Pay for a course only when the proposed dates fit your travel and the unused-session terms are acceptable.
How much downtime should you allow during a Seoul trip?
Do not schedule an injectable skin booster immediately before a photo shoot, wedding or other event if visible bumps or bruising would be a problem. Redness, tenderness, swelling, lumps or bumps and bruising are recognized injection-site reactions with HA skin-quality injections. PN and PDLLA procedures may also leave visible marks, but the duration depends on the product and method.
Tell the clinic your event and flight dates before booking. Ask for the expected visible reaction from the exact product and technique, not a generic “minimal downtime” promise. If you leave Seoul soon after treatment, get written aftercare instructions and a contact route that works from abroad.
Unusual pain, vision changes, or white, grey or blue skin near an injection site require immediate medical attention. Seek urgent local care rather than waiting for an overseas message reply.
What should you ask before booking?
Use the same request for every option so the replies are comparable:
Hi, I will be in Seoul from [arrival date] to [departure date]. My main concern is [dryness / texture and pores / fine lines and elasticity], and I have [event or flight] on [date]. Which exact product would you propose, and why does it fit this concern? Please confirm the amount, treatment area, treatment method, number and spacing of sessions, expected visible downtime, and the total price in KRW including VAT, numbing and aftercare. If this is a combination package, please itemize each procedure and also quote the skin booster on its own.
Compare answers in this order: goal → product → method → visits → recovery → final total. If the clinic changes the plan during consultation, ask for the reason and an updated total before agreeing.

Frequently asked questions
Is there one best skin booster for everyone?
No. There is, however, a clear starting point for each goal: HA for hydration, PN for broader fine-line and skin-quality concerns, and PDLLA+HA for pores and gradual texture change. The final product, amount and method depend on the treatment area and medical assessment.
Are skin boosters the same as dermal fillers?
No. Some skin boosters and fillers both contain HA, but their formulation, injection plane, amount and purpose can differ. If your goal is a visible change in contour or volume, say so directly; a hydration-focused skin booster is not a substitute for a volume plan.
Can I compare two skin boosters by price per cc?
Only after matching the exact product and method. One cc of Juvelook after preparation is not automatically comparable with one cc of Rejuran or an HA product. Match the product, treatment area, treatment method, visits and inclusions before using price per cc.
Can I have one session just before flying home?
One session may be possible, but the timing is a separate decision. If you have no time for a review and cannot accept swelling, bruising or bumps during your journey, schedule the treatment earlier or postpone it. Do not buy a course unless you can attend the proposed visits.
