Hello. I’m the chief director of GD Clinic near Exit 10 of Gangnam Station.
There’s one thing I often hear in the consultation room.
“I work out and watch my diet, but the fat on my thighs stays the same.”
“My upper body has changed a bit, but I’m not sure about the saddlebag area.”
In fact, even when people keep up with weight management or exercise,
many say that changes in the thighs or side line feel slower to appear.
Today, I’ll calmly explain why these concerns arise,
and how you can approach line management in the right direction.

Why do thigh lines feel slow to change?
The thighs and pelvic area can be regions where fat is relatively easily distributed, depending on the individual.
In women, lower-body fat distribution can be more prominent,
so even if weight changes, changes in the thigh line may feel slower than changes in the abdomen or face.
Also, even with the same amount of weight loss, the areas that slim down and the speed people feel it vary from person to person.
So even when exercising and dieting together
you may feel that your weight has decreased but your thigh line looks unchanged,
the saddlebag area may seem especially stubborn, or
the area may feel like it is tightly pooled, which can reduce satisfaction.
Why exercise alone can still feel insufficient
Exercise is very important for health management and weight control,
but it is important to be cautious about expecting it to selectively slim only the areas you want.
This is because the perceived change by area can feel different from overall body fat changes.
In particular, the thighs and around the hips are also areas where cellulite is commonly observed.
However, the causes of cellulite are thought to involve multiple factors together, such as fat distribution, skin elasticity, and tissue structure, rather than being explained by just one factor.
So even with the same concern about “thigh fat,”
the main issue may be the amount of fat,
skin elasticity may also be lacking,
the body shape may make the side line stand out more,
and the cause can differ.
In these cases, body-shape consultation may be considered
The basic principle remains that exercise and diet management are essential.
However, if a specific area seems especially slow to change,
it may help to first check the current fat distribution, skin condition, and what is causing the line concern.
In the consultation room, many people come in with localized line concerns such as thigh saddlebags, love handles, or upper-arm fat.
In such cases, rather than looking only at the number on the scale,
we look at what kind of management would be more appropriate for the current condition.
Body-shaping methods such as fat-dissolving injections
In thigh line consultations, body-shaping methods such as fat-dissolving injections are sometimes considered.
However, the same approach is not suitable for everyone,
and whether a procedure is done and how it is done are decided after checking the current condition.
At GD CLINIC, we operate the Body Daumfit program, which excludes steroid ingredients,
and provide consultations for those with localized line concerns.
What matters here is not “how fast it can be reduced,” but whether the approach considers the characteristics of the area, daily life,
and the target timing without overdoing it.
When body lifting is considered together for line management

The thigh or abdominal line can be influenced not only by fat amount but also by skin elasticity and tissue condition.
when fat amount is the main concern,
when reduced elasticity is also felt,
it is better to distinguish between them.
In this process, body lifting can be one of the methods consulted for line improvement and elasticity management.
In other words, for some people a fat-focused approach may be more appropriate, for others an elasticity-focused approach may be more suitable, and in some cases both directions are considered together.
Consultation may be helpful for people like this
Daumfit or body line consultations are considered less for the purpose of major weight loss,
and more when a specific area does not seem to be shaped as expected despite exercising and dieting.
For example,
when the thigh saddlebags are especially bothersome,
when the side line affects how clothes fit,
or when there are localized body-shape concerns such as upper-arm fat, direction can be determined by looking at the current condition.
Even with consistent exercise and dieting, certain areas may still feel slow to change.
Especially if you are concerned about the thighs or lower-body line, rather than simply thinking, “I don’t exercise enough,”
it may help to check the current fat distribution, skin condition, and body shape characteristics together.
Rather than expecting an overly rapid change, it is more important to find the direction that suits you while considering body balance and daily life.
If you are concerned about thigh lines or body line management, we recommend first checking your current condition.
