Hello
This is Timeless Mapo Main Clinic, where we create healthy beauty together
These days, in the clinic, I have had many more opportunities to meet patients and talk about Onda lifting
Thanks to the advantages of less pain while smoothing out the contours, many people look into it first and come to us
But as we talk, I realize everyone is worrying about similar things
If I gather the questions I hear most often, they usually sound like this
"Onda lifting, how many times do I need it to see results?"
"How many lines do I need?"
"Can I do it together with Ulthera and Thermage?"
Rather than a simple equipment introduction or common information, I thought you would need practical information to refer to before the procedure
Today, I will explain Onda lifting at Ahyeon Dermatology Clinic in detail
1. Onda lifting, how many times is it needed?
Ulthera or Thermage usually applies strong energy once a year and gradually shows results
On the other hand, there is a reason for Onda
Onda's ultrashortwave energy works in two ways at once: collagen fiber contraction and fat cell breakdown
This process needs time to settle safely within the skin
Rather than putting in too much energy at once, accumulating it at appropriate intervals is much more effective and safer
After completing the basic 3-session set like this, you can maintain good results for a long time with light maintenance treatments every 6 months to 1 year
2. How is the number of lines decided?
When looking into Onda treatment, you may have seen the word "lines" often
This refers to the total amount of energy delivered to the skin
The number determines the treatment range and intensity
50,000-60,000 lines: improvement of localized areas such as the double chin
80,000 lines: targeting the entire central face
100,000 lines or more: overall facial firmness and contour refinement
But a larger number is not always better
Because skin thickness and fat distribution differ from patient to patient
It is very important how you mix the ratio of the 3mm (dermal tightening) handpiece and the 7mm (fat breakdown) handpiece
If you have a bit more facial fat, a design that increases the 7mm ratio for a tighter, firmer result is needed
3. How is it combined with Ulthera and Thermage?
Ulthera and Onda target different skin layers, so depending on the skin condition, combining them can create a good synergy
Ulthera: targets the deepest SMAS (fascia) layer to powerfully lift deep sagging
Onda: targets the dermis and subcutaneous fat layer to improve firmness and refine the contour at the same time
Thermage: stimulates the entire dermis to improve surface firmness and smooth skin texture
If sagging is your concern, we recommend combining Ulthera to address the deep layer and Onda to refine firmness and contour in the middle layers
If you want to take care of surface firmness as well, Thermage can be added
Of course, many cases are sufficiently treated with Onda alone, so it is best to decide after a diagnosis
In the end, the most important thing in lifting is not the number of treatments or lines, but establishing a 1:1 customized plan that suits my skin condition
That is why, at Timeless Mapo Main Clinic, we carefully examine each patient's skin thickness, degree of sagging, and facial shape during consultation
No matter how good the equipment is, if you ignore the different conditions of each person and proceed in a uniform way, you can never achieve good results
It does not have to be our clinic
However, we recommend that you consult sufficiently with an experienced and skilled dermatology specialist before making a careful decision
For results you can be satisfied with even as time passes
We will continue only the treatments that are truly necessary
